What is Sound Bath Meditation?
A sound bath meditation is a gentle easy way to relax and get into a meditative state without having to put much effort into it. The leader of the Sound bath will lead you into a deeply relaxing meditative state as you are immersed in the beautiful sounds of crystal and Tibetan bowls, gongs, drums, rattles and shakers.
What is Sound Bath Meditation?
The power of the sounds washing over the body, or bathing the body, helps the listener to achieve a shift in their brain waves. The normal state of our brain waves is Beta and when the sounds are heard playing, the harmonic vibrations shift the brain waves into Alpha mode which is a resting place for the mind. Depending on the person this can shift again to Theta which is a deeply meditative state or to Delta which is where deep healing and regeneration can take place in the body.
How does it work?

What to expect from a session
You will be invited to get comfortable on a yoga mat usually on the floor. The leader of the Sound Meditation will then begin the session by introducing some breathing exercises and a short spoken meditation. This will be followed by the sounds of the beautiful instruments which will help your mind to slow down and to drop into a dream-like state. At the end of the session you will be left for some time to enjoy the power of the sound of silence sinks deeply into your body. It is in this silence that healing often takes place.
You can expect to feel a very deep relaxation after your Sound bath but equally you may feel very refreshed – like you just had a long sleep.
