What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a holistic touch therapy that links the tradition of Chinese acupuncture meridians and energy balancing with non invasive Western Muscle Testing, anatomy and physiology.
Every Kinesiology session is different as it is tailored to the individual needs of the client.
The process is led by the client, as the muscle response tells the practitioner what is the priority problem to be dealt with right now and the best way to stimulate the body’s natural healing.
One aspect of appeal in this therapy is that it can help to clear issues without the client having to go into a lot of discussion about the matter.

How does Kinesiology work?
Kinesiology works on the premise that the subconscious mind of the client knows what the problem is and where that problem lies. The Kinesiologist uses muscle testing to ascertain where to start working on a client. They will be looking at all aspects of health – electrical, emotional, nutritional, structural and vibrational and with this in mind they offer the body an extensive menu of tools/skills to help to bring the client’s energy back into balance.

What to expect during a treatment?
It is usual to spend a considerable time on the first session with a client and using a very holistic approach, to ascertain the main aspects of concern to be addressed during this visit. This includes looking at lifestyle, diet, stress levels, exercise and other matters that may arise.
The client then lies on the plinth, fully clothed and the session, which is tailored to the individual needs of the client begins. The highest priority, whether it is electrical, emotional, nutritional and structural will always come up first and as all of the issues are worked through it is like peeling back the layers of an onion to help the client’s energy to come back into balance. It is quite usual, following a session for the client to report feeling better, lighter, more in control and less stressed.
The most important part of a Kinesiology session, in my opinion is for the client to feel that they are now empowered. They are much more consciously aware of where their energy/life is out of balance and they have the know-how to address the issues one by one and the feeling of over-whelm they may have been feeling has diminished. Usually the client feels much more in control, they know what they want and they feel that they have the capability to achieve it.
